On Sunday I fulfilled a little dream of mine and got drinks at the hotel bar that Sofia Coppola used in Lost in Translation!! The room itself was gorgeous with huge windows, a black piano, and the most incredible view. I loved seeing what the actual hotel looks like in person while thinking about how she chose to shoot it for the movie...always so interesting and inspiring!!
Ahhh so so so cool, I'm going to watch Lost In Translation right now because it's been so long since I've seen it! Did you get a new camcam recently btw? These pics look super sleek.
same cam as usual! the bar was just so sleek and contrasty on its own it needed no help translating to photos--my camera's a little beat up now though after a few years so i might actually start looking into a new one soon..!!
You rock the T2i like no other, gf! Also, may I add that the skies of Tokyo are a dream what you've posted!?! I just upgraded to a 60D- in luvvv, but missing the lightweighted-ness of the Rebel line for sure! I need a new purse to lug this baby around with ahha. Do you usually shoot in a certain mode or just go auto for everything btw? Just curious, haha, I've been playing around with the shutter speed mode lately, it's taking some getting used to.
Hey J! Incredible photos as always; Sofia Coppola always creates such beautiful art and I can only imagine the mood with the black piano and the over-looking view from the window! Hope you continue having a great time in Tokyo and your photos really do transport the viewer across the globe :) Will update you on summer art over e-mail! Xoxo Vanilla
