Tonight we went to a screening of Stanley Kurbrick's 1962 "Lolita" in the Latin Quarter. Those who know me can just imagine my excitement--Lolita is one of my (two) FAVORITE BOOKS EVA. I really prefer Adrian Lyne's 1997 adaptation with Dominique Swain and Jeremy Irons, but seeing Kubrick's version on the big screen was such a fun experience. I will definitely devote an entire later post to Adrian Lyne's film though because it is the most beautiful movie I've ever seen. SEE IT IMMEDIATELY IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!!!!!!
(I obviously went to the theater dressed in a Lolita outfit...duh)
My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta!
