15. The Point of No Return

Today, my worst nightmare happened.
Twenty minutes into exploring the Paris Opera House...
my camera...
ran out of batteries.

!//!asl@kq$!al<,sfsd#kj?*f!!!!,..

So what to do? The only thing there was to do: took the 30-minute metro ride home, charged my camera for 30 minutes, got back on the metro, bought another ticket, and properly explored the Opera House with my cam in hand for the last hour before it closed. So excessive, but so. worth. it. I had a brief Phantom of the Opera phase way back when (and still now sometimes...) so I had to do the Opera House justice. I also charged my iPod when I was back so I could listen to the POTO soundtrack while I was inside...EVEN MORE WORTH IT. Totally helped me get my Christine Daae on.
The pictures inside turned out a little eerier than I expected. But I like that. It's the haunting side of POTO! O_o

It was nice and sunny outside, though!

P.S. - Dedicating this post to Kelly & Elizabeth...long live poto!!

  5. I'm so glad you went back and charged your camera :D These photos are incredible. I love the architecture inside cathedrals/opera houses. It's always so mysterious.
